Thankful Thursday, miscarriage edition

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18: Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Always, Continually, In All Things...that's a tall order. But I've decided that I need to give thanks for the good things God has brought out of my miscarriage.

Thanks, Lord, for making yourself very real to me during the miscarriage process.
Thanks for teaching me to treasure my living children more fully.
Thanks for the opportunity to be vulnerable with other Christians, leading to deeper relationships and a fuller knowledge of who they are.
Thanks for giving me a glimpse of what it means to sacrifice your child, and for Your Child to take on death for us.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to run the Indianapolis MiniMarathon...and for all the prayer time as I ran and prayed.
Thank you that you work everything together for the good of those who love you--I love you, so keep working it together :)

And, thank You, God, for Ann's witness of Your grace and love in her life. Someday, You will wrap Your arms around her and all will be explained. For now, be glorified in her life and the lives of her family. In Your name, Amen.

Your sweet spirit blesses me. I am so sorry for your loss, but thankful for your deep love of our Savior. He is doing something beautiful in your heart and life...may continued healing be yours.

Thanks for sharing this. Today (now past, but September 13th, 2005) was my due date for the baby I lost a few years ago. Other people may never remember that, but I always will. I'm so thankful that there are other women out there who are willing to talk about miscarriage, I needed that so very much when I was going through the worst of my pain. Blessings to you.
